The embedded operating system is Windows CE Pro 5.0. Unit manufactured February 2005.

Although the CS5535 only supports USB1.1 the board does include a VIA VT6212L USB 2.0 controller to provide the faster speed.

Power Supply

The unit requires a 12V supply. If yours came without one a unit can be easily sourced. I bought a 12V 3A unit on ebay that was advertised as being a replacement one for an LCD display. I'm not too sure of the exact dimensions required for the plug, but a 5.5mm external 2.1mm internal plug seems to fit. (Maplin stock one - part # AQ88V type E).

Expansion

Click for larger image flash The photograph to the left shows the inside of the 3150SE with the small I/O board removed.

The flash memory is on a special board to the upper right - shown in more detail in the photograph on the right. As one of the BIOS boot options is "Hard Disk" I assume this connector is connected to an IDE interface. Unfortunately they have chosen not to use the standard 44-pin style of connector.

The RAM is soldered to the board (bottom rightish).

All-in-all it doesn't look to be possible to easily upgrade the fitted memory.
