There is no indication of the date of manufacture. Netvoyager's own website once had an entry for the LX-1020 in its discontinued products section, but there was no indication of when it was discontinued.
A label on the bottom of the unit does carry the number TC3500. Using this Google finds us a Taiwanese Company - TUL - and a document 'TC3500 spec (050817).pdf' that gives a specification that matches up to this Netvoyager model.
In fact a summary of TUL's VIA-based thin clients used to be viewable on VIA's website but now the "embedded partner zone" now requires a username and password.

The unit requires a 12V supply with a coax 5.5mm/2.1mm plug. Something that supplies at least 2.5A should suffice.
Flash. The flash memory is a 128MB Compact Flash Card. This is simple to change and, amongst others, I've used a 2GB card loaded with DSL in its place. The Compact Flash card appears as the "IDE Primary Master" device. There is also on onboard 44-pin IDE interface. I connected an IDE-to-CF card adaptor to this and the BIOS showed that this appeared as the "IDE Secondary Master" device.
RAM The RAM is a standard 144-pin SODIMM. The one fitted just carries a simple label marked 128MB. The TUL datasheet mentions the onboard RAM being "...up to 512MB." The chips fitted to the SDRAM board are Hynix HY57V561620CT-H. Their data sheet gives a clock rate of 133MHz for the -H part so I guess we're looking at a PC133U SODIMM.
There is a cardbus (PCMCIA) slot accessible under a flap on the right-hand side of the unit.
