In the photo above, starting top left there is the connection for the speaker (marked in red). Above that you can just make out the speaker. Moving to the right (orange) you can make out the smart card connector. This loop of cable runs from the motherboard to the smart card daughter board and carries power and data. Continuing right (yellow) is where the power button circuit connects to the motherboard. Below that, unused on 7817q, is a socket to provide power to a fan.
The photo above provides another view of part of the motherboard. Top left we have the power button, smart card interface, and fan power. At the top right is the expansion socket on the riser. In the middle is the SATA connector and either side of this are what looks like two mPCIe connectors. Looking at the dimensions of the cards that can be fitted and the clash between anything fitted to the left connector and the SATA connector, leads me to believe that:
