[Update May 2015] I revisited the S400 to add the flags to the CPU info and the PCI details. I took the easy approach of using a Compact Flash card with Tiny Core 6.1 on it. This booted and ran with no problems. There was no sign of the earlier problem noted below.
[Original report in August 2013] As mentioned under the firmware tab the S400 loaded and ran Tiny Core 4.7.6, but only with Grub as the boot loader - not with Syslinux.
While booting something appears to bomb out - but doesn't appear to affect the running Tiny Core system. From the dmesg file:
