The S940 happily booted Tiny Core 13.1 from an 8GB SanDisk USB flash drive. This was both the 32-bit and 64-bit versions. I used the 64-bit version of Tiny Core to confirm that it supported 8GB of RAM. For some reason the BIOS doesn't report the size of RAM that it finds other than a very brief appearance on-screen as it starts up.
