In October 2022 I heard from Marius from Romania who had used a t620 along with a cheap digital tuner as a TV receiver. This sort of application is not confined to the t620 but that's what he used so I've put it here.
Over to Marius:
I think this could be a project that may be some kind of inspiration for the DIY amateur electronics. Last week I've purchased a pretty cheap DVB-C tv tuner that I wanted to use in my med school dorm room for receiving TV cable. (BTW The cable distribution system here is poor and uses 50 Ohm cable rather than 75 Ohm). Despite that I found that this little TV tuner is able to find around 65-70 digital channels compared with my old Philips analogue TV could barely see some coloured noise and sound.
So, for under £10 I've managed to get a XBOX Digital TV tuner that based on a Panasonic 88472 chipset This is connected through USB to my Thin Client. The software it uses is
TVHeadend
that runs onLibreELEC
as a Kodi add-on.It shows what you can do with a cheap DVB receiver, a (cheap) ~8 year old Thin Client and a 12 year old TV.
The t620. I like the way (I assume in the absence of a foot) that Marius has used the VESA mounting points to provide a stable way of keeping the t620 upright.
The (old) TV showing some of the available channels.
The xbox DVB Tuner. At the time of writing plenty to be found on eBay (UK) for ~£10 used or brand new.
