The Tadpole Pulsar happily ran Tiny Core Linux 5.2 from the internal SATA DOM.
There are two things of note:
- It won't boot from USB so you need to install the operating system using another machine
- You should add the boot parameter i8042.noaux to avoid a delay while booting.
